Kim Delaney was an American actor from the United States. The actress is best known for her role as the detective Diane Russell, in the ABC drama series NYPD Blue. For this she received an Emmy Award. Her roles comprise All My Children Philly CSI: Miami & Army Wives. Delaney was the sole child of the United Auto Workers executive and his wife, who was a domestic worker. She grew up within a household with four other brothers. In childhood, Delaney dreamed about becoming an official reporter for the court. She began modelling in high school and then gaining commercial opportunities when she relocated into New York. In 1981, she starred as an innocent teenager in the film All My Children. Delaney an actress in her early years who was in her 20s, appeared in a variety of TV films and in dramas. Like her career, her personal life hasn't been a success or happy one. In the past, this accomplished actress battled alcoholism and had two marriages that failed. She was divorced in 2005 and was denied custody of her only child she was born with.
